Claudia is innately an engineer and a part-time knitting pattern designer. Graphic patterns, structures and straight fits as well as anew again and again forms are what characterize Claudia's designs, which, together with her chosen colors and yarn structures, give her knitted objects a very harmonious look. None of the elements overpower the other aspects of her patterns.

Claudia offers out patterns for pullovers, cardigans, shawls, cowls and other accessories under her label himawari knits online via Ravelry as well as brick and mortal stores and on wool festivals. Furthermore she also designs
on behalf of yarn brands, indie dyers and online and print magazines and teaches knitting related stuff.

Claudia is also taking part in berlin knits Wollfestival and will be selling her patterns as well as presenting her samples. She will even have a brand new pullover design ready to publish for the berlin knits Wollfestival.
She also brings project bags and tea towels especially printed for her by the Hamburg company Frohstoff.
